Successive Bayesian estimation of reaction rate constants from spectral data
نویسنده
چکیده
The successive estimation of regression parameters is an effective technique applied in nonlinear regression analysis. In the paper, this method is used for obtaining kinetic information from spectral data without any pure component spectra. In order to study the way kinetics may be determined by ‘hard’ model without separate calibration, the simulated example of a two-step reaction was constructed. With the help of real-world example, this approach is compared with known methods of kinetic modelling. All calculations have been performed with the help of new nonlinear regression software, Fitter. Such approach is valuable in case the concentrations of pure components are not available or if ‘soft’ calibration methods are inexact or time consuming. D 2003 Elsevier Science B.V. A Note on Evolutionary Rate Estimation in Bayesian Evolutionary Analysis: Focus on Pathogens
Bayesian evolutionary analysis provide a statistically sound and flexible framework for estimation of evolutionary parameters. In this method, posterior estimates of evolutionary rate (μ) are derived by combining evolutionary information in the data with researcher’s prior knowledge about the true value of μ. Nucleotide sequence samples of fast evolving pathogens that are taken at d...
متن کاملNon-Bayesian Estimation and Prediction under Weibull Interval Censored Data
In this paper, a one-sample point predictor of the random variable X is studied. X is the occurrence of an event in any successive visits $L_i$ and $R_i$ :i=1,2…,n (interval censoring). Our proposed method is based on finding the expected value of the conditional distribution of X given $L_i$ and $R_i$ (i=1,2…,n). To make the desired prediction, our approach is on the basis of approximating the...
متن کاملImproving the Performance of Bayesian Estimation Methods in Estimations of Shift Point and Comparison with MLE Approach
A Bayesian analysis is used to detect a change-point in a sequence of independent random variables from exponential distributions. In This paper, we try to estimate change point which occurs in any sequence of independent exponential observations. The Bayes estimators are derived for change point, the rate of exponential distribution before shift and the rate of exponential distribution after s...

The present paper introduces the Bayesian spectral analysis as a powerful and efficient method for spectral analysis of photometric time series. For this purpose, Bayesian spectral analysis has programmed in Matlab software for XZ Dra photometric time series which is non-uniform with large gaps and the power spectrum of this analysis has compared with the power spectrum which obtained from the ...
